Semester/Academic Year in the United States

Foreign students ages 15 to 18 attend U.S. high schools for five to ten months starting in August for the fall semester/academic year and in January for the Spring semester. Students must demonstrate academic interest and a good command of the English language. Students live with volunteer host families and attend local schools. Orientation is provided prior to departure from home country and after arrival in the United States. Students are supervised and monitored on a monthly basis by local community coordinators.

A minimum of two years of foreign language study is required. Academic credit is possible depending on home school policies. Orientation is provided prior to departure from the United States and after arrival in the host country. Students are supervised and monitored on a monthly basis by local community coordinators.
